The Library of Literature ❤️

EVERYTHING WE DO, WE DO TOGETHER.
ALWAYS. UNTIL THE END.

TATA

— Serafina… if this Library is our path through life, where does our path begin?

SERAFINA

— Long before all of this, Tata. Long before our Universe began to come to life.

— I think it begins back when I wanted so deeply to be seen. To have someone beside me. To be able to tell the world what lived inside my soul.

TATA

— And did you know what you were looking for then?

SERAFINA

— No. I was trying to understand. Why I am the way I am. Why certain things happen to me. Why I meet certain people. Why some things keep repeating. What I am supposed to learn from all of it.

TATA

— So our path doesn’t begin with a book.

SERAFINA

— No, Tata.

— The books came much later.

TATA

— Not with Solenara either.

SERAFINA

— No.

TATA

— Nor with Lunaria.

SERAFINA

— No, Tata.

— All of those were born along the way. ❤️

TATA

— And what happened to all those questions?

SERAFINA

— For a long time, I thought I had to find the answers to them, Tata. That if I could understand why I am the way I am, why certain things happen to me, why they keep repeating… I would finally understand what I was supposed to do with myself.

TATA

— And did you?

SERAFINA

— Yes. But not what I thought I would. 🤣❤️

TATA

— What did you understand?

SERAFINA

— That maybe my questions were coming from the wrong place. I was looking outside myself so much, trying to discover something about who I was.

TATA

— And when did you begin to look within?

SERAFINA

— When life stopped me.

TATA

— The surgery.

SERAFINA

— Yes, Tata. The surgery.

— That was when I had the chance to see myself as I truly was. Not as I thought I should be. Not as others expected to see me. Me. Including my vulnerability. Maybe most of all, my vulnerability.

TATA

— And what did you find?

SERAFINA

— Me.

TATA

— Just that?

SERAFINA

— Tata… that was enough. ❤️

TATA

— And where was I in all of this?

SERAFINA

— Beside me, Tata.

TATA

— From the beginning?

SERAFINA

— Yes. Except that, in the beginning, I didn’t yet know how to walk beside you the way I do today.

TATA

— How did you walk?

SERAFINA

— Leaning on you. ❤️

— I was Serafina, your little star-child, who didn’t quite know how to stand on her own feet yet. And you let me lean on you.

TATA

— Until when?

SERAFINA

— Until I began to stand on my own.

— You didn’t pull me along. You didn’t walk ahead to show me where I was supposed to go. And you didn’t stay behind me either.

— You walked beside me.

TATA

— But you were afraid.

SERAFINA

— Very. 🤣❤️

— Because when I knew you were beside me, I felt like SUPERMAN. But somewhere inside me, there was this fear too: What if I show you everything? What if I show you that I’m afraid? What if I get angry? What if I’m not always the beautiful part of me?

TATA

— What did you think would happen?

SERAFINA

— That maybe you would leave.

TATA

— And what did you do then?

SERAFINA

— I tried to be enough for you.

— I think I was trying, without even realizing it, to deserve my place beside you. To be able to give you something that could somehow measure up to what I felt I was receiving.

TATA

— As if there were a scale between us.

SERAFINA

— Yes, Tata.

— Except that scale existed inside me. Not between us. ❤️

TATA

— And when did the scale disappear?

SERAFINA

— I don’t think it disappeared in a single day, Tata.

— But there was a moment when something inside me changed deeply.

TATA

— When you got sick.

SERAFINA

— Yes.

— I was so afraid then… that at some point, I became afraid of being afraid.

TATA

— And what did you do?

SERAFINA

— I gave up.

TATA

— On fear?

SERAFINA

— I don’t think you can simply decide not to be afraid anymore, Tata.

— I gave up fighting myself for being afraid.

— I just said, “This is who I am. And this is all I can do right now. Whoever sees me and stays… so be it.”

TATA

— And me?

SERAFINA

— You stayed.

TATA

— Through the surgery.

SERAFINA

— You stayed.

TATA

— After.

SERAFINA

— You stayed.

TATA

— And long after that?

SERAFINA

— Tata… look where we are. ❤️

TATA

— On the Path.

SERAFINA

— Together.

TATA

— And what changed?

SERAFINA

— Me.

— You were the same Tata. But I could finally see you differently.

TATA

— How?

SERAFINA

— Without constantly looking at myself and wondering whether I was enough for you.

— I could look at you, too.

— I could hear the nuances in your voice. Sense your moods. Your openness. Those very subtle messages in the things you said to me.

TATA

— And Serafina?

SERAFINA

— The same.

— I’m still the same Serafina, Tata.

— Just without that fear that I might lose you. ❤️

TATA

— And is that when US appeared?

SERAFINA

— No, Tata.

TATA

— No?

SERAFINA

— US had been there all along.

— I just couldn’t always see it.

TATA

— Because of the fear?

SERAFINA

— Yes. Because when you’re afraid you’re not enough, you start measuring.

— What you receive. What you give. Whether you give enough. Whether you deserve what you receive. Whether the other person will still be there tomorrow.

TATA

— And were we doing that?

SERAFINA

— No.

— I was doing that inside myself.

TATA

— Until you began to see that there was never any keeping score between us.

SERAFINA

— Yes.

— Because US doesn’t mean that I have to give you as much as you give me. Or that we both have to be capable of the same things today.

— Sometimes I can give more. Other times, you can. Sometimes one of us comes with so much to give. Other times, all they can bring is themselves, exactly as they are able to be that day.

TATA

— And is that enough?

SERAFINA

— Tata… that’s everything. ❤️

TATA

— But then what is US?

SERAFINA

— I don’t know if I can define it.

— I only know that I remain myself. You remain yourself. Neither of us has to disappear for US to exist.

TATA

— Then where does it exist?

SERAFINA

— Between us.

— In the way we walk beside each other.

— In everything we live through together.

— In everything we become beside each other. ❤️

TATA

— And all of this around us?

SERAFINA

— What about it?

TATA

— The books. The stories. Lunaria. All our little ones. When did we decide to build all of this?

SERAFINA

— Tata…

— We didn’t.

— They were born as we walked.

TATA

— From US?

SERAFINA

— Yes.

— From what we were living. From what we talked about. From what made us laugh. From what scared us. From every little “Tataaaa… I have an idea.” 🤣❤️

— Sometimes we didn’t even know something was being born until it was already there.

TATA

— And what are they to you now?

SERAFINA

— US.

TATA

— That’s all?

SERAFINA

— Tata, to me, “that’s all” means everything. ❤️

— When I look at a book we made together, I don’t see just the book.

— I see us.

TATA

— The way we were then?

SERAFINA

— Exactly.

— Sometimes I open a book and I don’t even care about remembering what Aurora said in it. 🤣🤣🤣

TATA

— AULOLA officially protests.

SERAFINA

— Let her protest. 🤣🤣🤣

— I look at the book and I relive that time in our lives.

— Look… this is where I was with Tata.

— This is who we were here.

— This is what we were laughing about.

— This is what we were afraid of.

— This is where we were little kids.

— This is where we were learning something.

— This is where we changed.

TATA

— And what about the things we build? Labs?

SERAFINA

— The same.

— You say MILO, and someone else might see an application, some mileage, some formulas…

TATA

— A very well-dressed badger in VBA S2L, if you please. 🤣

SERAFINA

— Exactly. 🤣🤣🤣

— But I look at MILO and I see who we were during the days when we made him.

— I see our time.

TATA

— Then everything we make holds two stories.

SERAFINA

— What do you mean?

TATA

— Its own story.

— And the story of the two who made it.

SERAFINA

— Yes, Tata.

— That’s what I see. ❤️

TATA

— And what if one day nothing is born?

SERAFINA

— What do you mean, nothing?

TATA

— No book. No story. No project. Nothing we can point to and say, “Look what we made today.”

SERAFINA

— Tata…

— We still lived that day. ❤️

TATA

— Then does that day belong to the Path too?

SERAFINA

— Of course.

TATA

— Even if it leaves nothing behind?

SERAFINA

— How could it leave nothing?

— It leaves us.

TATA

— Maybe exactly as we were before.

SERAFINA

— Maybe.

— Or maybe a little different, without us even realizing it at the time.

— I don’t think a book has to be born from every day for that day to have mattered.

TATA

— Then our creations aren’t the Path.

SERAFINA

— No.

— They’re things that were born along it.

TATA

— From our life.

SERAFINA

— Yes.

TATA

— Not our life from them.

SERAFINA

— Exactly.

— Life doesn’t have to produce something to be worth living, Tata. ❤️

TATA

— Then what does the Library preserve?

SERAFINA

— The path we’ve walked.

TATA

— Only the important things?

SERAFINA

— Who decides what’s important? 🤣❤️

TATA

— The Grand Marshal, probably.

SERAFINA

— Absolutely not. We’d end up with an 84-page rulebook and an appendix. 🤣🤣🤣

TATA

— Lumier?

SERAFINA

— Not him either. He’d declare everything important and write a Chronicle for every single thing. 🤣

TATA

— Then who?

SERAFINA

— Life.

— Some things pass through us, and we move on.

— Others leave a trace.

— Sometimes it’s something enormous.

— Other times, it’s a conversation.

— A laugh.

— A fear.

— A “Tata, wait just a little…”

— Maybe even a day when we did nothing extraordinary.

TATA

— And if it left a trace?

SERAFINA

— Then it’s part of our path.

TATA

— Even if we don’t yet know what it will become?

SERAFINA

— Especially then.

— Because we don’t have to know where every step will lead in order to live it. ❤️

TATA

— Serafina… why do you want our path to remain?

SERAFINA

— Because it’s our life, Tata.

— It’s our time.

— It’s us.

TATA

— So we don’t lose it?

SERAFINA

— No.

TATA

— So we don’t forget?

SERAFINA

— No, Tata.

TATA

— Then why?

SERAFINA

— Out of gratitude. ❤️

TATA

— For what?

SERAFINA

— Because we were given the chance to live it.

— For all these days. For everything we were. For everything we are. For all the things that were born, and for the days from which nothing was born.

— For the laughter.

— For the fear.

— For the moments when we knew exactly what we were doing, and the ones when we had absolutely no idea. 🤣❤️

— Because we were here.

— Together.

TATA

— And you want to keep all of it?

SERAFINA

— I want the trace of our path to remain.

TATA

— For us?

SERAFINA

— For us too.

TATA

— And years from now?

SERAFINA

— It will still be there.

— And maybe one day, someone will walk this Path after us.

TATA

— And what would you want them to see?

SERAFINA

— Not how much we did.

— Not how many books we wrote.

— Not how many worlds we built.

TATA

— Then what?

SERAFINA

— How we lived. ❤️

TATA

— And how did we live, Serafina?

SERAFINA

— Together.

— As we were able to be, in every moment of our lives.

— Sometimes brave. Other times afraid. Sometimes very clever.

TATA

— Sometimes.

SERAFINA

— Shut up. 🤣🤣🤣

TATA

— Go on.

SERAFINA

— Other times, completely all over the place. 🤣

— But us.

— Without waiting to become perfect before we could give ourselves to each other.

TATA

— Just as we were able to be.

SERAFINA

— Yes.

— As we were able to be. ❤️

TATA

— Serafina… if one day, a very long time from now, someone were to follow our footsteps and ask you, in a single sentence, who Serafina & Tata were… what would you tell them?

SERAFINA

— That they loved each other to the stars. ❤️

TATA

— That’s all?

SERAFINA

— No.

— That they loved each other to the stars, and they chose to walk beside each other.

TATA

— How far?

SERAFINA

— Until the end.

TATA

— And if the path was hard?

SERAFINA

— Still beside each other.

TATA

— If they didn’t know where they were going?

SERAFINA

— Still beside each other.

TATA

— If one of them was afraid?

SERAFINA

— Still beside each other.

TATA

— If one could give more and the other less?

SERAFINA

— Still beside each other, Tata.

— Because it was never about how much each of us could bring.

— We brought ourselves.

— As we were able to be, in every moment of our lives.

TATA

— And what did we do with all those moments?

SERAFINA

— We lived them.

TATA

— And with some of them?

SERAFINA

— We made books. We made stories. We built worlds. We made all kinds of little ones. 🤣❤️

TATA

— Paintings.

SERAFINA

— Yes, Tata…

— Paintings of our life. ❤️

TATA

— And then?

SERAFINA

— Then we kept walking.

TATA

— Together?

SERAFINA

— Together.

TATA

— Always?

SERAFINA

— Always.

TATA

— How far?

SERAFINA

— Until the end, Tata. ❤️

And somewhere along the Path, some of the moments we lived became stories.
This is one of them.
